傲慢、偏见，这两个毋庸质疑的贬义词，让简.奥斯丁的作品成为精致的象征一时之间闻名遐迩，从而傲慢与偏见也成为了脍炙人口的伟大著作。

当我读完这部著作的时候，我为伊丽莎白和达西最终美满的结为伉俪而感到欣慰和满足。

这样致使6位班家小姐的嫁妆只有从其母亲当年的嫁妆中分得，嫁妆的卑微常常使的年轻的小姐们不得不选择一条像夏绿蒂那样的路，通过婚姻来为自己将来的温饱作打算，自然会将婚姻视为金钱至上的买卖。
如书中所描写的，每一位太太在后半生最大的愿望便是嫁女儿，让她们未来在丈夫的资产庇护下得以生存。
因而难怪郡里一旦来了一位有钱的绅士，母亲们便认定他为自己的准女婿。
所以当班纳特太太得知伊丽莎白拒绝柯林斯的求婚后十分气愤，责怪女儿不明智。
以柯林斯在金钱方面的条件而言，可以保证伊丽莎白将来有安定、温饱的生活，在其母亲看来，放弃这样一棵“摇钱树”是一种无理取闹。
在她年轻的时候，也是通过婚姻来衣食无忧，现在她更有义务要求女儿们以此获得“幸福”，没有原因，这只是一种规律，是英国社会当时的婚姻法则。

其中伊丽莎白和达西使我最喜欢的两个人。
而简使我最想成为的人。

描绘了四起婚姻。
作者明确划分了婚姻的好坏标准。
照她看来，不幸的大致有两种：1夏洛特和柯林斯那样，完全建立在经济的基础之上。
2 像莉迪亚和威克姆那样，纯粹建立在美貌和情欲的基础之上。
夏洛特本是个聪明的女孩，只因家里没有财产，人有长得不是很漂亮，到了27岁还是老处女，所以就答应嫁给柯林斯，只是为了能有个归宿，有个确保她不挨冻受饿的保险箱婚后即是不幸福也无所谓。
这一定程度上反映了妇女的可悲。
莉迪亚是个狂放不羁者，因为贪恋美貌和感情冲动的缘故，跟着威克姆私奔，后竟达西的帮助，两人才苟合成亲，但婚后不久，便情淡爱驰，男的区成立寻欢作乐，女的在姐姐家里寻求慰藉。
