与其他古城相比，阆中又以其风水奇特见长，在飞机上俯瞰阆中，阆中城是一个优美的太极图形，使得阆中又有“中国第一风水古城”的美称。

今天小张不给大家讲阆中的“古”表现在哪些地方了，我今天就给大家讲讲阆中风水城市的美称是怎么得来的。

阆中古城是按照古代，特别是唐代天文风水学理论营建而且保存最为完好的一座城池。

风水理论是我国古代有关居住环境构成，包括城市及其它建筑选址、规划和设计的一种传统理论。

它以人为中心，天地人三者协调，以求达到“天人合一”。

阆中古城就是中国古代依照“天人合一”选址建城的典型范例。

阆中古城的选址、布局均契合中国传统风水理论，是中国传统风水中“龙、砂、水、穴意象的完美组合，所谓龙，指龙脉，即山脉，阆中古城接蟠龙山之龙脉。

“砂”指四周山形地势，阆中古城以北面的蟠龙山为镇山，以南面的的锦屏山为案山，以金耳山为朝山，四周远近起伏的诸山为砂山。

“水”即河流，有嘉陵江绕城三面，形成山环水绕、金城环抱之势。

“穴”，即基址、建筑，坐北朝南为佳。

阆中古城城址和建筑都是坐北朝南。

古城建造采用多重聚合的方法，符合传统风水理论讲究空间构成聚合的构造。

其水光山色，天造地设，构成古代风水“玄武垂头，朱雀翔舞，青龙蜿蜒，白虎驯俯”的意象图案和山水城结构图式，使其形成一幅“三面江光抱城郭，四围山势锁烟霞”的水墨画。

杜甫称赞“阆中胜事可断肠，阆中城南天下稀”，使阆中有了“阆苑仙境”、“风水宝地”之美誉。

西汉至唐，阆中一直是中国古天文和风水学的主要研究之地，他孕育和诞生了伟大的天文学家落下闳。

阆中城富有灵气，恰似从天际间飘来一位人类始祖，半躺半卧在蟠龙山脚下，左右对称，错落有序的山形，正是始祖舒袖环抱的双臂，曲膝于锦屏山上。

大家请看前面那座山，那就是素有“嘉陵第一江山”美誉的锦屏山。

有人说，站在锦屏山八仙洞口看阆中古城，最能看出古城的佳妙风水和前人建城的高超构思。
